As we mentioned in our introduction, the 2021 Jeep Gladiator lineup features a pair of engine options from which to choose, one of which is a diesel engine. But first, let’s look at the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine option, which provides you with 285 horsepower, 260 pound-feet of torque, a maximum towing rating of 7,650 pounds, and a maximum payload rating of 1,700 pounds.
The diesel engine option for the 2021 Gladiator lineup is, in fact, a turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine that provides you with 260 horsepower, 442 pound-feet of torque (best-in-class), a maximum towing rating of 6,500 pounds, and a maximum payload rating of 1,200 pounds.
